What is the best dirt track near orlando ?

In my opinion it's East Bay (Tampa), followed by Volusia County (Barberville). billy

What part of Orlando are you in/near? South of the city, go to East Bay... North of the city, go to Volusia.

I past years, it was worth the extra drive to go to East Bay, but their shows and track condition have fallen off a little over the last few years. Volusia on the other hand, was a second-rate show for a long time, but since they re-clayed the track, it's gotten to be a real good program there now.

They both have their good and bad nights, so start with the closer one to you, then branch out to the other on occasion.

Either way though, Ocala will be on Fridays with no other tracks competing against them. They could wind up with the best show in the state.

That's the best thing to do. After all each person has thier own ideas on which track is best and why. Just look at the posts under which is better dirt or pavement?

East Bay (Tampa) is a third mile, Volusia is a half, as is Ocala. Ocala was just re-dirted (is that a word?), but is a strange configuration that's conducive to excellent racing. As of right now, I'd say East Bay, but Ocala could be good with a good car count. East Bay and Volusia have excellent car counts. As you probable know, speedweeks starts at East Bay next month and Volusia the first week of Feb. Great racing at both tracks. These are just my opinions for what they're worth. billy

BTW...Ocala is a 3/8th mile, D shaped oval. Not 1/2 mile.
