Now *that's* old school there! Would you be able to bring it to the Modified Reunion in February?

Where did you find it and what condition was it in. Worked at the transmission shop for a lot of years.

Great find... Congrats to you... The one thing nice is that they aren't as bad as the rest of them to restore.... Very few parts considering... Have a great time and if you need help drop me a note....

Found the chassis here locally, It's in real good shape. It was found with partial body work on it with the number 0 on it. Randy Alvarez was able to ID it right away as Joe Melnicks southern Modified when he drove for Willard Smith. Randy was around Willards so much that it was a no brainer for him. From there, the pictures on Dave Westermans web site confirmed it. It still has the original rear bumper on it. Check out my web site as to what we do. We will be adding to our other vintage race cars. As I have been collecting parts for years just looking for the right call to restore. Bob was a true craftsman back in the day and doing this car back to his standards will be a real treat for us. Thanks for the feed back Guy's, will start progress reports on our site soon. Ted... I hope you will consider the Modified Reunion on 2/12/2010 at NSS. It would be a VERY cool addition to the show.

Call or e-mail me when you get the chance...

                    WOW what a treat!

I was at Bob's shop the day they fired that beauty up. I helped Bob take the body off the chassis once years ago. Bob was waiting for somebody else to come by and help him. I dropped by after school on a Monday to see how they had done up in Ga. that weekend and he had won the race and was asked to go to Alabama the next weekend and run as a super. That car was one of my all time favorites. "Double D" also knows that car well. That's just so "COOL". Way to go Ted!!!!!!!!!!!
