  • Nss last night

Since Andy is busy today and not much to write about, I will do it for him.

Nice night, really good car counts.

First up late models, lots of wrecks but couldn't tell you much because I was sitting in my car waiting to get wrecked myself. Seemed like forever but Bruns won.

Second up was the sportsmans. I started on the pole and was quickly run over going into 3 by some low life piece of trailer trash that was driving over his head. I think 16 cars started, 10 were involved. Some great pit work got me back out just before the restart but was a half a lap down with half a car I didn't have anything left. Phil Luizzo won but was quickly dq'd because some self proclaimed know it all racecar god was working on his car and thought it would be a great idea to put cheater spindles on his car. Phil didn't know this. Between this knuckle head putting the front brake calipers on upside down, THEN BLEEDING THEM and the spindles Phil was a little rightfully upset. I think the win went to Mike Pletka with Donnie Williams second. It had to be a great race for the fans. For the first time in a month I had a really good car and had a chance at getting a good finish if not a win. Thanks

After that was an intermission but I couldn't tell you because I was looking for the F@@@ing scum bag that wrecked my car and my friends car. Both which were severely wrecked 3 weeks ago and repaired the last couple of weeks. Then the modifieds were up, good car counts but a SNOOZER. I was still cooling off and had a hard time focusing on the race. Boyd won, Tank Tucker would have had a little something for him but something broke before the race started. I think Jerry Symmons was 2nd

Mini stocks were up, Blair won by a landslide, Bone A Man blew the restart and I think finished 4th. Mike Seay in one of two easter eggs out there had a decent run.

I didn't watch the super stocks, lots of wrecks again and by that time I was ready to go home. I think by the time that race was over there may have been 12 fans left in the grandstands.

Hehe, Nice to read a calm unbiased race report. It's amazing you could keep your cool under those circumstances. BTW, did you catch up with "the F@@@ing scum bag that wrecked my car"?
JK Edm, better luck next time.

"Bone A Man" made me laugh out loud.

      Well played.

Actually, I wrote it with sarcastic humor and yes I did, but when I approached him he basically said he was racing close and it was his fault and hes sorry. I just had to walk away, what else can be said. He didn't mouth off and point fingers which was probably a good thing. I can tell you one thing, the only time I remember being this sore is when we started 2 a days my freshman year of football. I am just glad that no body got hurt.

AND WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP THE 45 OUT WITH SOME BRAKES Just kidding, just bad luck.

          Edm,
I recognized the humor. My reply was meant the same way. It does sound like you and the other guy both reacted appropriately though.
Now if you really want to experience sore, try coaching those 2 a days thinking you can still do what you use to do. I did that for a while, doing the drills along with the boys and telling them if I could still do it at my age they sure should be able to handle it. Stopped doing that a while ago.

All I r can say is what a report there Edm. Good thing you aren't sending it out because I am not sure anyone would post it. Sorry you had bad luck again, that sucks because you are really a nice guy and I know how hard you work on your car. Hopefully next year will be much better for you and the car.

Saw Adam Soukup at the gas station tonight and he said that Mike wrecked what he had wrecked before on the car. That sucks big time for Adam and Mike. Adam said he decided not to drive tonight so Mike did but Mike wrecked just like he did recently.

Anyway sweetie, nice report. Hope you are cooling down now and I am sorry about your car. Like I said, I do know the time and money you have put into your car but then again, that is racing. Ups, downs and alot of work.

Thanks for filling in, Ed! It was such a shame your race ended so quickly as that was the most confident I'd seen you with your car for a while and that fast groove would have been perfect for you and your car. I have to applaud your whole attitude to a night like that though, and look forward to seeing the new paint-job for your new car when you get back out there next year.

I was regretting turning down your free pancake offer about 2 minutes after I headed out of Denny's, facing that drive back to Orlando...

I've actually set that phrase up as a keyboard shortcut now, as I need it so often and it saves me having to type it out every time I write the report...

i think the best part of the race was me trying to talk to my crew during my pitstop. I came in because the exhaust fumes had gotten so bad that i gould no longer breathe (apparently i couldnt talk very well either). i was trying to tell them that they needed to cut the zip ties holding the air hose to the roll bar and that i need to be able to reach it. But the words were coming out more like i need the get zip ties to cut the air hose so i can get the wire cutters, and duuudddee wheres the track?

I quit fishing because there was no one handing out money at the docks when i got back. Why did you quit racing?
