As far as the" boat racer" group goes. ...Did you mean Billie Harvey instead of Bill Elswick..just asking...never heard Elswick's name mentioned in any drug news clips.
Not sure if it was a gov. cup race or an orange bloss. race, but in 1985 ,I rode a moped from Satellite beach to NSS. I strapped a 5 gal can of gas/ oil mixture to the rack on the back of it. It was a hell of a ride down US1 at 32MPH. I stayed for the whole race and got back around 9 the next morning.
