  • Ocala tonight

Some fine racing at Ocala tonight and the Top Gun Sprints put on a heck of a show with Gene Lasker coming from the back to win. However, one of the more exciting races was in the Gladiator division with the #55 winning a very competitive race. He won it by some great driving. When I went to take his picture, I look in the car and there was this young kid driving. He gets out and I couldn't believe how young he was and what a great job he did. Joe Linebarier came down and interviewed him and I've attached a picture of that. He was a real crowd pleaser. Anyway, Danny Lasoski was in the stands as a spectator. He was so impressed that he went down and told the kid that he wanted to be his first sponsor and handed him $200. That, in itself, tell you how impressive this young man was. Remember the name of Devin Walker. I think you may be hearing more from him in the future.

I bet when he gets home the first thing Devin has to do is put all the cushions back on the sofa.
That sounded like a great race to have seen when he gets the win and then steps out of the car...hell, the guy even bent over to interview him..

    Great job Devin!
Thank a Police Officer for what they do........... OSF:

      Ocala Tonight

Now this is a FEEL GOOD ABOUT RACING story Congrats to the young man Kudos to Danny for helping a young racer that is getting started in the wonderful world of dirt track racing. Who knows, maybe in a few years, we will see the young man on the Speed Channel in the World of Outlaws, maybe even driving for Danny

My dad was in shock when the kid got out of the car at how young he was. I thought he drove a great race. Good to finally meet Winger. Seeing Rich in a sprint car was my shock of the night unfortunately he lost power steering at the end of the heat race and fought it most of the feature. Eventually he pulled in before wrecked it is what he told me. Hopefully everyone marks march 19th on thier Calenders for next year. WoO late models always put on an awesome show.

when the track is in bad shape i'm one of the first to complain, but friday night -- yeh, it was a little rough out of the groove (not that it bothered gene lasker), but not a speck of dust and sticky all night. EXCELLENT preparation. sounds like they could have used Mike at the Charlotte dirt track...
