question what gear to run in a open wheel at ccmp

need more info . how much motor you got is it 355-358- 360 -377-383 or is it a short stroke big bore

will it stay together at 8600 rpm.s or do you want to turn 6800- 7400

two barrell or four allum heads or steel good rods and crank or so so take you four sets to play with and good stop watch

start out with 640 and go up to 660 -670 watch your tac do you use a rev limiter i ain't trying to be funny but there are about 12 cars there that rock and roll so if they are beating you 10 car lenghts down chute mash gas and change gear

if that don't work spend mo money mo money nice track good drivers they race they don't play at ccmp trust me if you ask ten drivers what gear they run unless they pull it out and let you look at them don't believe them that's best advise i can give you

                Thanks.....Ocala is a 3/8 track and we ran a 6:20 for 6700-7000.
Or a 6:33 for 7000-7300 on the paved track.
                At Bronson I run a 6:33 for 6500-6800 on a 1/3 mile track.
This is all in the Sportsman Division.
                Just for your information.
