What 1/4 miler??? And is this the Whelen Northern or Southern Tour drivers? Maybe a combination race?

As great as those cars are, I don't think a 1/4 miler is the place to introduce them to a new audience (and the 1-1/2 mile is out of the question... they'd make Nascar look like Hobby Stocks!

Southern and on the legend car track by the pits.Think I'll miss it, it gets cold enough to snow there in march and it did there in the 90's. they had to pospone the Nascar race. may make the long trip to NSS speedweeks Jerry to see mods etc. Possibly Whelen race could be on Speed tv like 2 were this year.

Jerry, I believe he's talkin' about the Atlanta Motor Speedway 1/4 mile oval on the frontstretch (the one they use for Legends cars and Thunder Roadsters). I think them boys'd put on one helluva show on that 1/4 mile....hell, they do every week up there at Bowman Gray! I would assume (although I haven't looked yet) that it'd be a combination North/South race.

ok racers they have sk modifieds - tour modifieds - and

i think there are probably about three or four more classes of modifieds

modifieds are a great class with a lot of great racers and most tracks average good field of cars and same guy don't win ever week

if any body remembers how the sk modifieds got started

here is were i'm coming from if you want to put people back in the stands give them something to watch put the open wheels on some tires if sk modifieds can run 13 inch tires let us run at least ten inch tires

they would put on a lot better show it's called racing and speed is involved in racing put the excitement back in it bet you could get two wide and get up on out side and RACE

now some body is going to say well if we do that the guy with the most money will win ,,, is that how that works the smaller the tires the less you spend . i don't think so

so if we put 12 inch tires on then we would reall spend lot money right

well one way or the other if the fans don't come it ain't gonna matter any way and if i get bored i can allways go to east bay for some excitement and cars don't cost any thing to sit in shop on jack stands
