All-American 400 Races at Nashville Are Outright Cancelled

The management at Fairgrounds Speedway at Nashville announced today that the rescheduled All American Weekend has officially been canceled for the 2009 season and will not be rescheduled. Additional details and comments on the cancellation will follow soon, according to a CRA press release.

>> Pre-Entry for the 44th Annual Governor's Cup 200 at New Smyrna Speedway has been extended to November 14th.

Maybe this means that Johanna Long may show up afterall. This might help bring a few othwer cars too: Augie Grill? Dennis Schoenfeld? John Bolen? Stanley Smith? Eddie Mercer? Kyle Busch?

Who knows... but this news sure can't hurt the Governors Cup.

P.S. - Add Corey Freed to the drivers expected to be there.

I am hoping someone from NSS is working the phones giving these guys a call with something - maybe discounted rooms somewhere for the crew - anything that might incent them to show. Hell even if it is nothing but a "we would really love to see you here and here are some discounted entry fees to speedweeks" or some such nonsense. Get creative guys and push this one..
