Nice win for Mc Murray... not so good for Ryan, Harvick, Martin, Tony, David and lots more.... Thank God Ryan got out of that mess... amazing how well all the safety equipment holds up. Mark lucky too...
What about our Joey. 3rd. Place!!!! he even had the lead awhile. the kid is gonna be a champion one day !

    Oh brother.....worst Talledega race ever!

Why don't they just close the joint down and give someplace else another date?

I agree and I'm unhappy with the bump drafting in corners too, make Dega a 2 mile like Michigan.

That race just solidified my love for Short Track Racing...

It did provide one of the best naps I've had in weeks though... Kind of like Daytona... Watch the first 10 laps... sleep for 2 1/2 hours (or more)... then watch the last 10!

          Geeezz(yawn)

They closed up the restricter plate to slow the cars down, and created a 2 1/2 mile no passing zone......WTF Nascrap.
Boring race....Well built car, however that tail fin acted as a wing on Newmans car going backwards and made the flaps useless..IMO.

If you really needed a lot of sleep you should have tuned into the F1 Grand Prix this morning too. Not been a good day for exciting racing...

Cant watch a whole race anymore...

usually just watch the last 25 laps. thats when things that matter start to happen. if it happens to be a great race i watch 50 laps. seldom...i would give anything to watch a good late model race with cars the drivers built... carburators etc.....everything is too high tech ... too sameo sameo! is that a word?

worse, NASCAR announced at the drivers meeting that there would be penalties without warning for bump drafting in the corner.

did you see anybody get penalized? i know i saw a lot of bumper to bumper contact through the corners in the last 30 laps....

                    Confirmation

Can't rememder what year it was but when Bobby Allison flew up into the fence, resulting in race fans being injured, that's when they decided to "slow the cars down" with that stupid restrictor plate. Then Richard Petty gets turned around and flew up into the fence in Daytona, also resulting in a few minor injury's to a couple of fans. In the April race earlier this year, at Talledega, Carl Edwards gets airborn and takes out a bunch of the fence. That also resulted in some more fans being injured. Did anyone watch the beginning of the telecast today when they had a piece on the girl getting a severe injury from the Carl Edwards wreck? With all that said, it just confirms what I've been saying since implamenting the restrictor plates. Race cars are built to go fast FORWARD not backwards. Of course, at the end of the race when Mark Martin goes for his role over, he did'nt get turned around. He was slammed in the right rear resulting in his flip.

So, to get to the point on this soap box opinion, don't slow the race cars down, move the fans further away from the most dangerous place to sit, next to the track. And take those stupid restrictor plates and sail them off into the distance and put the RACE back into racecar!!.

                        No thanks...

I shall humbly decline the title. I just want people, NA$CRAP and anyone else in racing, short track or big time, to use the God given gift of common sence!!

                              no

problem moving people back away from the fence. With the empty seats they have they can do away with the bottom rows. 1987 Bobby Allison took the fence out. I said it before will say it again. "When is stockcar racing not stockcar racing? When NASCAR runs it.
