  • Taladega Truck Race

On Speed channel they are interviewing Austin Dillon.
He won Ocala Dirt Late Model race last week.
Heres the kicker-----He is driving the #3 Black RCR truck.
Last time the #3 was there was won by Sr. at Taladega in 2000.
He is up next for qualifying.............

As of now he qualified 21st out of 28 so far. Only two won't make it, so he is in.

      My Bad....

You are correct old wise(azz) one. I am in error here.

However.....the truck failed post-qualifying insp. Too low.
He won't start. Would have been nice to see the #3 back on the track.

Austin Dillon is Richard Childress' grandson. I have seen him race in a few races around the country with the Woo late models and wasn't very impressive. It would have been nice to see him race the black 3 though.

I've heard others say they weren't very impressed with Austin. In February I watched him racing modifieds at Volusia. He and his brother finished first and second and I was very impressed with the youngsters. I believe he's got the talent and he certainly has the backing. You'll be hearing more about him.

              are you sure winger?

Austin's "team mate" at Volushia was a black guy(kinda) wasn't it. They were both fast when they were out front, but terrible in traffic. Just my opinion..

when they rolled the truck tru first time it passed

then later the shock package would not let the truck get up in front fast enough , nascar officials says they waited . why did they not just let them get it right ;; they let martin and johnson get by the other day they were almost cheating

also they sure were protecting jimmy johnson did not want waltrip to skin up back of his car got to protect them home boys

Yeah, I'm sure. I know there was a 3rd team car that was fast also. That might be who you mean. I can't remember his name.
Here's a picture of Austin and Ty Dillon with their mother and grandfather (Richard Childress) in victory lane on February 10th.
