Ivedent did a great job leading from the green to the checkered. Someone told me if he had the pole, you might as well give him the money since he is hard to beat. Just sorry about all the mass pile-ups, that was a mess. But it was a good race and Dillon came in third. Was really hoping he could make it two in a row and he definitely tried but Lloyd proved to have the machine to beat.

with Ivedent Lloyd leading all the way, it sounds as if wasn't such a good race... but couldn't be further from the truth.
Mark Whitener, in a borrowed car (from Joe Kump) started deep in the field, and charged all the way to 2nd before fading back. Collins, Fitzgerald, and Wood changed spots nearly every lap. Richard Ferry also started deep, and commited himself to the bottom (everyone else ran high), chugged along past most of the field, got all the way to 4th. Russell Brown Jr took that spot away on the last corner of the last lap. Shan Smith looked real good early... even blew past Lloyd at one point, but the lap didn't get completed, putting him back to 2nd. With the "Delaware-style" restarts, that left Lloyd alone on the front row, nobody starting on the 2nd row ever had a shot at him.
This makes 4 tracks in 3 weeks, and never saw a bad show at any of them. The UDLMCS may have it's troubles, but Dirt LM racing is alive and WELL here in Florida/South GA.

I didn't really see any of the shows last year Jerry but what I have seen this year, they pull good car counts everytime at Volusia. I was told that if Lloyd had the pole, you might as well give him the money and trophy but it does not always work that way. I am sorry that Keith Nosbisch was not able to race since he did qualify 4th fastest but his car broke and he tried to borrow one but everyone needed their cars. Mark did a great job in Joe Kump's car but Joe does a good job also in his car. But so far this year they have had 30+ cars at each of their races at Volusia.
As we both know, all series go up and down over the years and this year has been a struggle for alot of people to race. But all in all, I think this is a great series and I really enjoy watching them and writing about them. And I think they have alot of guys, unlike some series, that could win any race and you really don't know who will win until the checkered is thrown.
Most all of them are super stars in their own way and hopefully my new website will introduce them to the racing world in Florida and people will get to know them like they do Wayne Anderson, Tim Russell, Jermey Colangelo, and Jeff Choquette who came from dirt.
www.floridadirttracknews.com will showcase all our GREAT dirt drivers from the lowest class to the highest class. Watch us grow.
