This board is way too quiet, so as a public service I propose the following conversation starters.

Winger & OcalaSP - I think Ocala Speedway should be paved again. Central Florida is under water restrictions, so paving it would save water, reduce dust and get the show over more quickly.

OSF - What do you find to be more effective in addressing problem flatuance, Beano or Gas Stop?

edm - Why do you oppose gun control? How can there be any crime if no one has any guns? Duh!

Todd McCreary - The radicals in charge of government think that all laws are "living documents" and can be interpreted diffently depending upon context. I think this should apply to all rule books too. Hard and fast rule making is a thing of the past!

Osmosis - DeSoto Speedway was so over-rated 20 years ago. I certainly prefer watching kids drive 4 cylinder cars in the infield over those silly old Icebreaker and Seafest LM races.

Voice of NSS - Why don't you learn Spanish and broadcast in both languages?

Frasson and Roger - All beer sales at short tracks should be stopped immediatly. Lets make this a "teachable moment".

True story here:

A few years ago, Lincoln Speedway in PA, decided to ban beer sales. Very quickly, their crowds became thin. Almost immediately, the 2 other Sprint Car tracks in the area saw their attendance rise dramatically.

Also seen at both tracks.... T-Shirts that proudly stated "No Drinkin', No Lincoln".
Lincoln Speedway quickly changed their policy, and came back to life.


Moral of the story is: Don't mess with beer drinkers.... they could make you go bankrupt!!!

They banned beer at football matches a long time ago due to the hooliganism problems it was causing inside the grounds. Worked a treat and now all the grounds are safer than ever.

Of course, now it's not safe to walk within a 5 mile radius of the stadiums before, during or after the game because there are riots and gang-fights going on all over the place now...

Naturally the French wouldn't have such a problem - too much red wine just makes you depressed rather than up for some fisticuffs.
