  • Thanks to all those that supported the Charity Truckers 200 !

From the bottom of my heart ! Thankyou so very much.

We had some glitches, rain and problems, for that I am sorry. I am working to get a complete total to announce asap. There is still money coming in and still things to be gone through I can tell you it is looking really good and we should be announcing a really nice number for the Helmicks, but also a little surprise for the Hopkins. There are still folks this year that wanted to help the Hopkins who are still paying off bills etc. I was asked by several if they could give some money to them also so I will announce all of that as soon as I have the firm numbers.

For all that helped, donated and cared you are such a blessing to me and to the Helmicks and Hopkins. I hated to have to lose the opening ceremonies because we had so much to do and people to thank properly but the rain hurt us there. I hope you will all just know that you are so appreciated and words can never say how much I appreciate all of you.

I am a blessed man to be able to do this, and to have so much support from the racing family. May God Bless you all and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Again we will announce everything as soon as we can this week. I will be trying to get photos of the presentation of the money etc to be posted on karnac and the web site. You should all be so proud of what you have been a part of and done.

Congrats to all the winners of the races, all of you are winners in my book, and to the Charity Truckers Champion George Gorham Jr., you are representing a great event and a great family as the Champion. 1st Annual Champion Brandon Johnson represented us well the past year and came home with a top 5 again this year.

Be back to announce more very soon stay tuned !!!!!!!

    Thanks Rick

Virginia and I were very happy to bring the NAPA 15 car and participate with everyone else in the event. After we pulled off the track the Helmicks brought little Kaleigh over and put her in the car with Santa and Mrs. Clause. She is such a doll and was happy at first to see Santa but soon wanted Mommie again. It was an eye watering time for all of us.
Some pictures were taken of her in the car with us and I hope we can find who took them and send us one.
Again, what a great event and hope to do it again.
Rick, I hope your nerves are better now. You looked pretty stressed out the last I saw you,but Ill say it again "GREAT JOB"

RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

You know Rick that I have never minded helping and I always will but I must say this year was very hard on me. Besides being made to feel 3 inches tall and somehow getting stuck on the back gate and not in my office where I should have been, I feel that I failed somehow. I had everything set up for the races and being stuck out on the gate, none of it happened. Brad and I could not work together and get out the times and results fast like we have always done. And not having a break in 10 hours was kindof hard on the old body for sure. But it is for a good cause and I am always willing to help.

Just glad all the t-shirts helped and I hope you get lots of money for the Helmicks since I spent some time talking with the dad. You do a great thing for all the right reasons Rick but hopefully next year we will have more help and I can do my job and not someone else's. At least have someone who can give people a break when they need one.

Merry Christmas Rick and I hope the New Year is a good one for you and your family.

A good night for Florida racing. The winner of this event was clearly the families and the children, as it should be.
