Amanda Ferguson wins her first sprint car feature! Its always good when a new driver breaks through and gets the first win, but when that driver is a teen-aged girl who happened to defeat a field with several proven veterans, well then you have a compelling story.

It so cool that she is such a baby face. Amanda looks like she is running for junior class president, instead of parking her sprint car in victory circle.

The good olde Boys got a wake up call. This isn't just a poster Girl for the High School Prom, but rather a RACE CAR DRIVER!!!!! Congrat's to the whole Team!!!! Another female that breaks in to the Boys Club. Go Girl Go. The CCMP ARMY newest Sweatheart "Amanda Ferguson"!!!!

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Amanda and her parents at East Bay and they are a super nice bunch of people - hard working and very grounded.

Not only did she win the feature Saturday night, but she swept the night. And those guys behind her are no slouches behind the wheel.

Don't forget that she really hasn't messed around with that kind of power on pavement until this year. To say she's a quick study is an understatement.
