I think the reason Hendry County only had 11 cars for that race was because no one looked at schedules to see if Late Models were running other places and they were. That was an added race and sometimes people do make mistakes and don't check schedules. Honestly, I really do believe that is what happened. No one really looked to see where Late Models were running and they were running that weekend. So that probably affected that race.

And no winger, I did not take your message as negative. And by what I can tell, you had around 30 or so Late Models at Ocala when the UDLMCS came. I know Volusia had close to 30 each time or more. I just get tired of the gloom and doom sometimes. I have seen to many series go away - Sunbelt, Goodyear, Sportsman, Mini Stocks and Modifieds. They all started out great and with time, just ran their course and dissolved. Hopefully Kenny won't see that because you are right, it is a good series and I enjoy watching them race.

I am still a fan of this series and have enjoyed the races I have been to this year. The tentative schedule for this year had East Bay on it and then when the final schedule came out no East Bay.I am looking forward to next weeks races and think they will have good car counts.I think a lot of the factors listed in the other posts might add up to a drop off this year but money has been tight this year for everybody.I hope 2010 will see the series gain some of the momentum it lost this year.I feel this series still has a lot to offer.

Name the one common denominator in all these series.

I thnk Ken can do a better job than batting 0.000 with these 5 series.

P.S. - Golden Isles had 46 cars this weekend, under the control of Ray Miller & the NLMS Series. Ocala & Volusia were both in the 30's last weekend. There were very few racers that raced in both areas in the last 10 days. Richard Ferry, Ivedent Lloyd, Tyler Ivey, Johnnie Collins, Mark Whitener, and Jason Fitzgerald are about the only ones I can think of that made all 3 shows. Several more made 2 out of 3, but that still leaves a LOT of cars out there.

I would love to see some way to entice a large majority of the DLM cars to show up at one place at the same time. About the only way to accomplish it though, would be a Saturday/Sunday format, instead of a Friday/Saturday event. Out-of-area racers find it almost impossible to make a Friday night show, if the track is 3-4 hours from home.
