Don passed away this morning. He had been in the hosptial for about a week and his heart gave out. Don was a racer at one time and very knowledgeable on building race cars. Hatcher had numerous feature wins at tracks all over Florida and many Enduro wins all over the Southeast. He is also one of the keys to my success as he was a mentor for me when I started. I will post the details of his memorial once they are available. Don is survived by three daughters, two sons, grandchildren, and his wife Shafina. Those who knew Don, knew how much loved racing and his family. May he rest in peace.

Thanks Ted and Don was a very nice man and I am very sorry to hear this. I knew he was in the hospital but sad about his passing. My heart and my prayers are with his family. But one way to look at it also, we have another guardian angel watching over us. Rest in peace Don and you will be missed.

Gotta admire Don's spirit. His enduro car was pitted a few spaces from mine this summer at Auburndale. It was an exceptionally hot and uncomfortable day, but Don was riding heard on his crew from 2 pm until race time. He was really dedicated to getting his car up front, intense heat or not.
A racer to the end!
