I started this note but hit enter by mistaake, and I don't know if anything was sent. I will start over. I spoke to an official at Palm Beach International Raceway (formily Moroso Motorsports Park) in Jupiter, Florida. The official asked that I try to locate loacal interest in oval racing at this venue. I looked at the current road course layout, and there may a section on the north end of the track that could be configured into a flat tri-oval. I have an open wheel modified I run in North Carolina, but would like to run in Florida. I run a two barrell iron head motor that can not compete with the Florida modifieds I have seen. i plan to bring my car back to Florida in November (after my current season) and run the possible course. If there is any interest in running asphalt or dirt at Palm Beach International, please respond to this message with any info you have. You can also email me directly at mod04@bellsouth.net.

Don't know about today, but 25 years ago, there were 4000 fans and over 100 drivers willing to spend 40 Friday nights a year at stock car races in Palm Beach County.

I see what you mean--
Mod44--
Looking at the northern section, I can see what you are referring too, as far as the layout of a oval/tri-oval Raceway.
That's pretty cool, on your part, I must say.
Taking a section of roadcourse, and fitting an oval Raceway within it, with bleachers, bathrooms, pits, and grandstands; I can see it now.
But it sure looks like there is a whole lot of 'nothing-land' all the way around it for expansion......any chance of using that?

This has been a big rumor for years. I know that Dick was interested in doing it until Robbie was killed. Then Laura Yearwood I think was here name could have cared less when she was put in charge. It seemed like all she cared about was the bottom line from the ticket booth. But now with new management and Investors/Owners in may be a reality. I know one of the big set backs at one time was the county wanted Moroso to pay for the 4 lane highway improvements out of pocket before they would sign off on some zoning issue.
This is all just hearsay from what I have heard over the years.
