  • This Is EXACTLY What Many Have Asked For!

What can you get for $8?

How about a $2000 to win Late Model showdown, plus a $1000 to win Hobby Stock race and a $1000 to win Amsoil V8 Thunder Stock race! And Gladiators too!

That's the deal this Friday, October 9th, at the historic Ocala Speedway as Mike Peters has declared it to be FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT!!!

The fans get all of that, plus free door prizes for the first 100 fans into the grandstands and food and drink specials all night, and the racers get THREE huge cash carrots dangled in front of their faces! Awesome racing for a great price for the fans, and the opportunity to collect some serious cash for the racers!

Its the night of racing action that EVERYONE is going to be talking about on Saturday, so DON'T MISS IT!!!

      Yup....

It's the only place for me to be this Friday night......
Hope to see you there Tim. I'll be in the grandstands right in front of the tower.

As of now, myself and the infamous RSB plan on being there on Friday, and then going to VSP on Saturday night. Glad the 2 tracks worked out a compromise, rather than a pissing contest. Both events should be a whole gaggle of fun!

Oh man, the one weekend I agreed to stay home on Friday night so my wife could take a business trip to San Antonio. If I could be there, I definitely would be.

I agree! I don't know why things happened as they did, and I'm pretty sure that Volusia's original Friday schedule was not intended to sucker punch Ocala. In fact, I suspect it was an oversight on Tonya's part.

With that said, let me take this opportunity to apologize for coming out swinging as I did. That was a planned thing on my part to gain as much attention as possible as we launched Ocala's counterpunch. It was never meant to hurt anyone, but rather to make a point that we all need to work together, because when we don't things can get pretty ugly.

Volusia is a great track, and when I'm not announcing races on Saturday nights it is where I usually end up. The staff there is excellent, and the racing is always exciting.

And don't forget that the weekend of the 23rd and 24th that Ocala and Volusia will be featuring the Florida State Championship with back to back races on Friday and Saturday, featuring the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series. That's two excellent weekends at two great speedways in one month's time! Pretty exciting, huh?

Looking forward to seeing you and all the infamous at Ocala. I am ecstatic that the two tracks worked something out and they are going to continue to work together. I'd like to see all the dirt tracks work together with a uniform set of rules and maybe a series of races, i.e.: the SuperDirtcar Series, leading up to a big finale. They really aren't far off now.
