These two children are 9 year old twins, Christopher and Kristen Milthaler. About 3 years ago their parents were working near CCMP and heard the noise of the cars. Curiosity drove them to visit. They have been loyal constant fans since.
Whenever a heartbreaking story comes up these two kids spring into action!!!! I called and told them about Eddie's death and the next night they had the shirts and baskets and were ready for action!!!! They have become our most celebrated, good hearted, representatives of God's work.
They prepare to spend the night running the bleachers and stopping everyone in their path to collect for the occasion. It doesn't matter how hot it is.... they are on a mission and nothing stops them!
Their mom makes up tee-shirts commemorating the event and they decorate baskets to collect. Their mother, Robin, also helps them make up ribbons that are passed to every person they greet. They make these ribbons themselves. While all this is going on, Mom & Dad are close by making sure their children are not only safe but practicing good manners and being cheerful... They are an amazing family.
I remember when Derrick Horton learned of a tiny baby being abused and started a "cause" to help the young mother. The twins and Derrick collected over $1200.00 !!! This weekend the children alone collected $225.00 !!! They will continue for the next 4 weeks to help the Brann family.
My purpose for this post is to present you all with something positive and good and to thank the Milthaler family for their acts of love towards people who are suffering. God bless these wonderful children and their parents. The world is a better place because of them.
