Any information about what time the pit gates will open Saturday and what time practice will start?

The pit gate should open around 2 but you can park your rig pretty much anytime saturday...I am sure there will be teams leaving them there overnight friday night. Practice should start no later than 3.Comment

Gonna be practice tonight!
Tony just called. There will be practice. The rain is supposed to stop around 5... he has a huge blower for the track. Drivers are on their way... Gonna get chilly so bring warm blankets and clothing.

In closing...
Well, all the hard work paid off... it was a 100% success and the first of what should be many EDDIE BRANN MEMORIAL races.... Thank you to all who contributed and God bless Barbie Brann and her family. May He give you strength and joy in your life. That is what Eddie would want. Eddie has the best of everything now... he lives in complete happiness. There are no tears in Heaven... so now we have to help you get on the road to recovery...thats what friends do!
You do not lack love or friendships. You are blessed and tho it seems hopeless now, one day you will have control and be able to move on to better times.
You will never stop loving or remembering your best friend... you will always remember special times together and somehow God will send you reasons to keep on trying.
I didnt know Eddie well. just a hiya ...hows it going... but thru him I have been blessed with a new friend and you will always be in my heart and in my prayers. You motivate me ... you make me stronger....
I just want you to know that if you need me for any reason just call... day or night...no matter what time... i will never be too busy. God bless you and I love you Barbie...

really think michael cherry # 14 would have done good
if he had have been given a chance having never been in the car he had to change some left side weight offf by one percent after fixing it then after time trials he went back cross scales guess he ate a hamburger and was over weight again
then had to start dead last in 2 b main and had just caught third place car at checkered flag that made him fourth missed by one spot
so then the track insteadof taking four cars out of the two races track picked favorites or how ever they do it and we watched the races in the stands
it could have been worse some guys raced for free fast car dq 2 place dq lot of cars dq and wrong at least tonys car was ok and all local drivers were ok thats really good
sorry about robbie coopers car he is good guy and even gave his 500.00 fast time money to barbie brann robbie you tha man all in all good race good show
still kinda funny about all dq just wonder how many cars will show up next timeComment

B.S. rules change as usual

nobody wants to report on the B. S. rule change in midstream regarding "any treaded tire" as posted by Mr. Careno and Critter and the track on Sept. 25th. So a dedicated racer to the series and a driver who has helped out some of the same people that "whined" about "any treaded tire" decided that was unfair!!!!!! Because he chose to do his homework and the rest just bobble their heads as usual he should not have been penalized for playing by the same "RULES" that you yourselves posted. The last time I checked, you don't show up at a race to run second!!!!! The least you could have done would have been to HONOR YOUR RULES!!!!!!!!!! To much to expect I guess considering!!!! Dont mean to tarnish the purpose and the cause of the race and do not mean any disrespect, but when you make rules, STAND BY THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In a post by Tony Carreno prior to the race there was reference to the tires allowed for the Eddie Brann Memorial Race. Tony and Critters purpose was to make the race affordable and competitive for all the racers. In that effort they decided that drivers could use any treaded tires.
The reason is that 4 tracks are running 4 different tires! They did not want the drivers to have to purchase tires.
HOWEVER!
The tires brought to the race by Ralph Bowman and Bobby Baldwin were TEST tires purchased from Hoosier Tires South Asphalt in N.C. They were NOT brought from DeSoto . The tires were tested at NSS and found to be 3/10ths of a second faster than the regular tires . They were not to be used other than for the tests.
The drivers were asked at the meeting if they wanted to race against the cars using the test tires and ALL of them said no....15 of the drivers offered to buy tires for Ralph Bowman. He accepted the offer and the tires were mounted on his wheels. He then scuffed and qualified. His laps were not what he was satisfied with compared to the test tires he brought so he took them off and they are now sitting at the track. Bowman refused to race.
Bobby Baldwin purchased new tires and continued the race winning the Hard Charger award!!!!
The rules were NOT changed by Critter or anyone else. The test tires were NOT to be used anywhere!
Tony said next year all the tires will be the same as "IT IS ALL ABOUT BEING FAIR"...
I will now turn this over to you for comments and encourage you to reply so the truth will be known and everyone will be satisfied that all details are factual. We need to move forward with the 2nd. annual EDDIE BRANN MEMORIAL RACE eliminating any future problems. Other than this problem it was GREAT!

Merry Christmas Eddie Brann.....
You will share something this Christmas in a special way ... a special birthday! .... you have been with us in spirit since you left and when we had your race this past weekend, many things happened which made us aware your presence was with us.
We promise we will look after Barbie and Alyssa and help her thru the tough times. I know you too will be with them.
God bless you Eddie and may He keep you close. You are loved and you are missed. This is not goodbye.....
