ENDURO RACE on OCTOBER 10, 2009!!!!!

This has always been a special event every year but in recent years the participation has declined. Due to the lack of participation in the past few years the purse for this race will be decreased if there are not 25 or more competitors.
The following will be the purse for 24 or less entries:

Enduro Race

This is a V-8 150 laps race and the entry fee is $150. The rules are on our website www.citruscountyspeedway.com.

Its odd that a successful, forward thinking track like Citrus would miss the boat on this issue. There is a reason that enduros (and many entry level classes) are so sick. We all know that the days of finding Chevelles and Monte Carlos all over the place are behind us. Why not open up the field to the cars that fill the junkyards and backyards in 2009? Let the 4 and 6 cylinder cars race!

It is a fact that the smaller the car, the more it needs driver protection. So structure the rules for safety and get some more cars in the field.

You didn't mention what the purse would be if more than 24 cars show up. It looks like you're preparing for the worst, instead of hoping for the best.

i might be wrong and i could be sticking my foot in my mouth

about big cars little cars 4 cycl mid size v-8 - big monte carlos ltd's or what ever

have raced for lot of years and even ran the figure eights back in day over 20 years cars with cow catchers on front of them and when they hit they tore up some ssssssssss

but till you own a wrecker company and you are on police rotation you ain;t seen nothin ever seen a vega hit a 77 monte carlo head on 80 mile hour full of kids . or big cars hit little cars at 40 miles an hour

that might be why they try to keep certain cars in certain demo or enduro races because there are some people that would race a yugo in demo derby with all ltd's - lincolns - cadilacs

some people think a unibody car is saftest car in world . yes big old cars are getting hard to find but when you are stalled in middle of race track in ford probe drivers side facing traffic and bubba is coming towards you at 60 mph in 65 cadillac you are in deep do do

me i would like to see 4 cyl figure eights at least 20 cars race ever week two little cars hitting each other not a big car and a little car hitting each other

well said! a 77 monte hitting a 90 honda, someone would get hurt. it's not worth that.
