I try to never get involved in politics regarding what tracks do/don't do, the DQ's, the rules, the cost of tickets, the rain outs, the Good/Bad/Ugly. I leave all that up to the Track Owners or Investors. I figure its their money, their lives, and they can make it or not on their own without any input from me (hopefully, they wouldn't listen anyways). I do get a kick out of reading all the suggestions from all the PRO's out there (that don't have the investment of owning a track)... some are comical as hell. I'd rather keep my ideas/thoughts to myself which just makes life easier anyways.
HOWEVER... when a track (or person) has the backbone to do right by coming forth and allowing a change to be made for the betterment of all (such as recently done by Volusia Speedway ) I like to commend said track (or person). It appears someone named Rob was thought to be involved in something that later proved to be incorrect. Volusia made good by coming forth and correcting the situation.
Thanks Volusia Speedway... I sure appreciate reading how you made things right, and in this sport, things like that go a very long way.
