Prayers are Needed for Rich Clouser

Last night Jenn had to take Rich to the ER for headaches he has been having. Thru a cat scan, they found a mass on Rich's brain stem cell. Today they did an MRI on Rich but won't know until tomorrow the results. Alot of us have watched Rich grew up from a teenager racing his dad's bomber to the man he is now behind the wheel of Bobby Sear's Late Model and Super Late Model.

Rich is one of the nicest young men you will ever meet and one of the best dad's I know. Jenn and Rich have been together forever and right now Jenn is pretty scared. She passed out last night when they told her about the cat scan.

Please, if you have a prayer chain or just say prayers, please add Rich Clouser and his family to them.

I know what it's like to have a brain issue lead to an MRI and then you have to wait and wait and wait...it's torture. I can only speak from my experience and the MRI after the CT scan showed that it wasn't that big of a deal for me - so it's not always a doomsday scenario. But that's why they do MRIs, to precisely find out what's going on. So try to stay positive.

I've never met Rich Clouser, but I've certainly seen him race plenty. Good luck and hang in there, I know it's rough waiting it out.

Rich got his results today from the MRI. Seems the mass is much larger than they thought with the cat scan but they don't believe it is cancer. Rich must go to a neurosurgeon now and eye doctor and hopefully this can be treated with meds. He had another severe headachde last night and Jenn almost took him back to the ER but they have given him a new pain medication which hopefully will help. Please keep Rich and his family in your prayers because prayers do work.

That is his uncle Dale. Rick Clouser is Rich's dad. He raced many years ago and quit and Rich took over the bomber when he did. That is when Rich and Chad Pierce both raced bombers together. But that is his uncle.

It's okay John, alot of people use to think that Dale was Rich's dad. You know the Clousers, they all look alike. But thanks for caring enough to put up a picture. Rich has a long road right now and I know it seems dark but I promised Jenn the sun will shine again. But at least they found what is causing the severe headaches. Funny what cat scans tell you that you may never know. Like my daughter when she was hurt recently. They found a mass on her liver that she would have never known she had and the same happened with my mom when she was in the hospital and in so much pain. Lord knows what they would find in one for me - no brain probably.

Anyway sweetie, have a great day and fun whatever you do. I know you miss SpeedWorld because you were always there. If you ever get the chance, come by Volusia and say hello. Would love to see you sometime or maybe I will make it to the grand re-opening at Orlando.
