    ORLANDO SPEEDWORLD
    GRAND RE-OPENING AND REVISED SCHEDULE

We have updated the remaining schedule for 2009 at Orlando Speedworld. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all Drivers, Teams and Fans for their continued support through the uncertainty that this Year’s weather has presented us with.

Of special note on the ‘new’ schedule is the October 2, 2009 ‘Drip-Dry’ Night that has been added to the schedule featuring the Puddle Jumpers Twin 20’s for the Strictly Stocks. Also appearing on the 2nd are the Super Late Models, Taylor Racing Products Pro-Trucks, Mini-Stocks, Super Stocks and the Legends Cars. The Bandoleros are also scheduled for the ‘Early Show’ that night. This will be the first of two Triple Points Nights (Oct. 2nd & Oct. 9th) to try and make up for some of the rain-outs.

We would also like to point out the new date for the Marion Edwards Memorial presented by Boggy Creek Airboat Rides which will now be on Friday October 23, 2009. This will be a non-points race for the Super Late Models, Late Models and Crate Late Models Combined. The rules for the Combined Late Model Race will be posted shortly at both OrlandoSpeedworld.org and NewSmyrnaSpeedway.org. We invite all Late Models, Supers, Crate and Limited to take part in this event as well as the following night when the Late Models are scheduled for a combined 100 at New Smyrna Speedway.

Again we want to thank EVERYONE, Fans, Drivers, Crew Members, and Staff for their continued support and understanding. We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and look forward to us all working together to re-establish Orlando Speedworld as one of the premiere Stock Car Racing Venues and Family Entertainment facilities in Central Florida.

The Marion Edwards race should go 200 laps. Give Orlando its *own* SLM race; New Smyrna has the Governor's Cup, Five Flags has the Snowball...Orlando needs one.

28 cars start. Run qualifying races to start the first 24, and put the fast guys in the rear of the field. Make 'em WORK for a win. NO TIME TRIALS. Last four come from consi race. No "mid-race breaks" for pit stops; allow the teams to pit in the infield on the figure-8.

$10.00 adult admission if purchased in advance; $15.00 at the gate. Kids 6-12 and seniors 55+ $7.50 in advance, $9.00 at the gate. Intro the drivers on the front stretch after an autograph/photo session.

    **GET THE SCOREBOARD WORKING**.

    Just some thoughts

Are there going to be any promotion events for this. There is at least 3 weeks. This would be a Great time to do something. Or is it just going to be stuff on this board, as usual.

Getting 28 cars would be the first problem... Hey dd38, you think you'll have your LM ready by that one?

David what kind of promotion do you have in mind !

I have been out several nights a week and every Saturday for about 7 weeks now. Now that we have this set I have copied the remaining schedule update and will be promoting through the October 2nd night and through the remainder if the season. I give out tickets, flyers and give out a few prizes as well. Most places I can set up only have room for 1 car or can only approve one. I do want to see if you can go to a Scout deal wiht me Saturday October 24th in Kenansville from 8-4. I also need to try to get a Bandolero and Legend they requested. I also may have another date I will let you know. Let me know your promotion thoughts, with the loss of revenue since July I would guess TV or Radio would be limited. Thanks

Late model is getting closer dave. The BIG issue to run that is financial. And Rick, How about something like they did at The Barn, except maybe Cowboy's or Jesse Black (doesn't have to be a Country place), or Grand Openeng of something, Restaurant, Wing place, parts place, just some sort of public place where people go. And since were not running Friday, it could be a later evening event.

Dave, let me know if you know of any places !

I will look around my deal is I am somewhere every weekend from now till November 21 except October 3rd as I will be in WV, I committed to preaching at a Church here about 2 months ago sonce then Stuntwars was using are track and it was a weekend I could go. But I am open to try to get a few people to go to places that will allow it. It has been hard to set these up because most places require Insurance forms etc. Thanks

Well, hopefully they can pull 28 Late Model-type cars between Supers, Crates, and (Limited) Late Models. When I went to the Brighthouse race at Speedworld back in June or July, (a 50 lapper), there were 17 cars, all SLM, but most were what I would consider quality cars - BJ, Colangelo, Rogers, Winchell, Clouser...just to name a few. If they get some of the top dawgs in the other two classes, it should be a good field of cars. It ain't all about horsepower at Orlando, in my opinion, unlike New Smyrna, where ya gotta have a gazillion horsepower to pull down the straights.
