A few thoughts come to mind after last night.
Blaze Martin must have the biggest pair around. Fun to watch but has he ever been in a bad wreck?
I was a little disappointed watching the sprints. When a bunch were out there and the green was in the air it was a blast, but it would only last for a few laps at a time. A few lead changes made things a little more interesting.
The mini stock race was good, great race for the lead and good sportsmanship afterward. Boneman almost lost to a yugo. He moved the guy out of the way though.
The super stock and modified race(if you want to call it that) was pointless. 10 cars combined, with the exception of winners it was follow the leader.
The sportsman race wasn't much better. Even though we were dq'd (too much left side weight) we still had a lot of fun. They spent so much time working on Adam the Animals car that they didn't get a chance to rescale Phils the car after making some changes. Honest mistake but thats what happens if you wait till the last day to work on the things. He was good sport about it though.
NOW IF TECH CAN BE CONSISTENT IN ALL THE CLASSES. The sportsman class, strictly stock class and mini stock class all seem to be growing.
The strictly stock race appeared to be decent. The crowd loved it. It looked like a little bit of on track drama with the hired nun and a probe but I couldn't see the whole race.
All in all after the racing really started it was pretty good.
