The fastest track in Polk County closed down a couple of years ago . so you must be talking about Lakeland Dragstrip .

Hey Robabnersr, you can race in the second groove at the other track to. You just have to have the balls to put it out there and not want to ride around in a train. Most don't believe its there but it is I know I've been sent to the back there and came back to the front as well as other guys. It just takes ability and the balls to put her out there.
Don't know your beef with CCMP and don't care but if tracks keep stepping on each other and getting on here saying whatever the ONLY RESULT will be the loss of another short track in Florida.
Promoters may not like each other but they need to realize it is not about them it is about the fans and the drivers. Both these tracks have averaged anywhere from 15 to 20 cars a race and now all of the sudden Adale is having a 40 lap race paying $1000 to win. Coincidence no way, Rex may have an issue with Bobby but they both need to get over themselves and start caring about the guys and gals that work on the cars all week and spend our hard earned money on these cars. Well thats enough of my 2 cents. Not trying to be an ass but just getting tired of the BS promoters are throwing at us and ruining a good thing the mods have had going all year between all the tracks.

Scooter71, I posted on a different thread about this race, but you may not have seen it. I talked to Rex about this race. It is a makeup for the points race in August that was missed because of rain. They had to run it this week because they have another rain date to make up for that was also missed in August. All of their points races are 40 laps and pay out $600.00 to win. They have a sponsor for this race and the remaining modified points races for the year that is kicking in an extra $400.00 to the first place car to take the payout to $1,000.00 to win.

I have seen a black car, the 101 or 102 I think, that was sent to the back of the field with another car and came back to finish third out of about twenty cars. I think he could have won it with a few more laps. He looks like he likes the outside groove.

Wherever you race, I hope you're having as much fun as we are.

Hey rob, easy big fella not trying to stir anything up at all was just expressing my opinion about race tracks stepping on each other. Also expressing my opinion on people complaining about this track or that track has no outside groove. We have worked on our car to get the outside dialed in at CCMP. That is waht you have to do work on the car and not want to ride around in circles all night.
Yes I do race, own a modified and drive it. Have no idea who the #1 sportsman is and could care less about your issues with him. Wasn't trying to stir nothing up but apparently got you riled up. Honestly if I lived closer to Adale than CCMP that is where I would be this weekend you can't beat $1000 to win for 40 laps. That's it and that's all I got to say about that.

It's the ONLY RACE TRACK in Polk County as we all know. So why say it's the fastest? There's no point in saying that.
