$1,000.00 to win for the modifieds? We'll be there. Beats driving all the way down south on bad roads for the same amount of money. With Auburndale being centrally located, it stands to reason they will have a bigger field of cars anyway. Who wants to race for $1,000.00, IF YOU HAVE 16 CARS, when Auburndale is guaranteeing $1,000.00 regardless. Can't wait for Saturday.

WOW!!! Guess I unintentionally stirred up some crap. How is this gonna mess up CCMP? If you take a look at the points from both tracks, it looks like there are only a handful of cars that look like they have tried both tracks this year and based on the points, they couldn't have done it too many times.
I talked to Rex (his number is 863-287-4344 in case you would like to call him), the way I understand it, this $1,000.00 to win race is a rain out point race makeup for the modified point race in August and the track has someone who sponsored the extra $400.00 to the first place car. This was the only week they could make the race up because they only race the modifieds once a month and have another rain out to make up from August another week.
He also said they will have a sponsor for the rest of the modified point races this season that will make the payout $1,000.00 to first when they run. Guess we'll run those ones too. Can't beat a payout like that.
Sorry I got your knickers in a knot.

I really don't know what all the hype is about I doubt very much either track will loose one driver to the other. Auburndale is a rescheduled rain out and Charlotte is regular scheduled race. Both tracks have points races and incentives for the drivers. One is a 1/4 mile bullring and the other a close 3/8 mile. I think it will end up being good races at both tracks for the fans. I myself will be BACK TO THE DIRT at Volusia Speedway Park for the Labor Day Late Model Shoot-Out for the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series!!! Expecting about 40 Fire Breathing, Dirt Slinging, Three Wide Racing DIRT Late Models for this weekends show!
Um Frass is that considered hijacking? LOLLast edited by Rick Anges; 09-02-2009, 06:26 PM.

Mod Squad sure sounds like a regular racer expressing his opinion , not like hes an Auburndale owner or employee reading a prepared script .
I agree , i don't think either track will pull any cars away from the other , and this state is big enough to have two modified races on the same night 150 miles apart or so . Particularly since the pay out is the same .
