      since we cant race cars

how about making a track in the infield and we can have mud races, a rally cross, motorcycle enduro or something. or like Duane said we could race airboats

I quit fishing because there was no one handing out money at the docks when i got back. Why did you quit racing?

Since Crash-A-Rama which was early July, Orlando has run one time and got the Bandoleros show in one other night and that was it. They ran on July 17 and the part show on July 24 or whatever that Friday was.

I think at this point, just cancel thru September rather than doing this week by week "wait and see thing"... Start back up in October and run thru Rick's Charity race... Run one more week after that then take Christmas off then "finish" the season in January... Would make it easier for everyone... Hold the Dec-Jan races on Saturdays starting at 6PM to see how that works...

I can remember one of the first years I lived in Florida, 74 or 75 or so, Volusia rained out 8 weeks in a row. I was fit to be tied!! Talk about extreme racing withdrawl!!
Bones heal, chicks dig scars, pain is temporary but GLORY is FOREVER!! Or, the older I get the faster I WAS!

                We are really sorry !

All I can say is we are really sorry. We hate it, but rain and the track not getting to dry out good is just causing us real problem and we just do not want to try to race and get someone hurt. We have to try to get some raced in when and if we can. All I can promise you guys is I am out promoting and making contacts in hopes that when we can race we will have some new folks. I am out every weekend with my truck passing out tickets and flyers at different location. I go out three nights a week and stop in businesses and during my lunch a couple times a week I go to the area business warehouses in my area giving out info and tickets. I am working with Scouts, Libraries, and other big events in town. I will be somewhere every weekend through November 21st doing this. You can not see results with out us racing and it kind of hurst us the longer the people can not use those tickets and maybe forget. I can tell you that there are things happening and some of the things will take us into next year with some great community events and promotions between us and charities, organizations and businesses. I can simply tell you that just because we are not racing, I am not resting I am trying to continue to promote. I simply ask you all to come when we get to race and support us as we continue to try.

                Thanks

                  6 weeks in a row-

But Rick, you don't need to apologize anymore, or ever for that matter.
Don't need to say your sorry, for you're not a sorry man; a good man, actually.
Half the 2009 season has been washed, and the weather is wierd this year.
Five years ago when we had 3 hurricanes in a row, it was almost washed away as much, remember? This year will pass, and next year surely will be different.

Rick, I'm with AncerDave. Give this a rest and stop for now! And start the season back up in Oct. when the rain is long gone. And please stop saying your sorry you don't control the rain.

Is the old DIRT TRACK at Bithlo still around? Maybe you can run some shows on that is you want OR if it CAN be done. I agree you are NOT in charge of the weather, I do not see WEATHER CZAR in you title.
I hope things bet better for you SOON!!!!

Sorry but that would be a CooL dirt track!Dont tell me racers wont come.
                          It happen at Ocala,Vcs.
                          And Speedworld needs change Badly!
The cost of laying Dirt would be cheaper than fixing the issue.
