Not so grand as that. In my back yard. They come every year and we enjoy watching them. This is the first time I have gotten good pics of them.
I actually had time to put my flash on and get right under the electric service. He didn't budge but he didn't take his eyes off me. I'd say he weighs about 25 Lbs or so. He eye balls my little dogs. Both around 6 LBs. A morsel for him. Bob...

Nice shots Bob. I hear them around here all the time but I never see them. I'm envious.

Hey Bob, How've you been? I haven't seen you since Citrus I think. Jim Currys 100 lap Mod race. I guess I am not the only night owl around(pun intended). You, ab195 and me. Good group. The owls have been coming around for a few years. They have a nest some where close. I am just waiting for some little ones. I have a pair of cranes too and they had a set of twins. One has come up missing. That often happens with them, the foxes have a hay day with their little ones. There is a family of red fox down the road from my house. I love living in the country. We have almost no bugs in the house. They have all they need out side here and care nothing about the house. Even ants don't come in. Now spiders are different they are every where. Are you going to make the reunion race at Columbia? That should be a hoot. A lot of them I don't know but I remember hearing about most. The racers from my growing are pushing up daiseys. Thats the trouble with gettin old. LOL! Hope to see you at Columbia. Bob.....

              Gotta love the hooters!!

I was sitting on the backporch about 2 a m the other night wondering where my hooten neighbors were. Heve'nt seen or heard from them in a week or two. It was like they new I was thinking about them.
All of a sudden, one of them started hooten and hollerin, then here come another one out of the south, right over my back yard and landed in the tree behind my house.

Gotta thank the good Lord for that peaceful moment.

And gotta thank Bob for the pics!!
