Post FX Digital Video is hoping to attend the Blast From The Past event at Columbia Motorsports Park this Sunday. Our goal is to put together a quality DVD of the event... We will have three cameras to cover the actual "racing" but our real goal is to provide some quality interviews of the great racers that will be there giving you some insight as to their careers in racing along with some photos of these drivers during their heyday... This will require quite a bit of post production, so we need to get a "feel" as to how many of you would like a copy of this DVD... The cost will be $20, $5 of which will be donated to the Ronald MacDonald House charity... You will be able to pre-order at the track or on-line at www.postfxvideo.com if you can't make it to CMP on Sunday... Our thanks to Bill Posey who has fronted $100 of the $300 in expense money we need to attend the event... If anyone else can help, we'll be sure to give you plenty of plugs... Hopefully we will be able to do this and provide a DVD that everyone will be able to enjoy over and over again... I'm just looking forward to doing the interviews!!

I will be there to write the event and Mr. Alex is coming with me Saturday night to Volusia to go with me. Says he does not want me driving that road late at night alone. So I guess we will see you both Saturday and Sunday. -
Nearly 100 views on this thread, but no one says they'd like something like this as a memory of the event... We can only go and produce this if it is worth our while to shoot, edit and produce... Let us know... If you do not want to post on this board, e-mail me at announcerdave@usa.netComment

Since Bob has been hired to do the video by the track, POST FX is not going to attend or try to interfere with him... Would have liked to come up and have a good time but financially can't do it myself... I hope Sandy can find an extra announcer on short notice.... Hope everyone has a good time!!!Comment

Dave. If you can get over to myakka city sunday morning you can ride up with my camera man and myself. That'd be neat to have an old time nnouncer on my interviews. I'll get you in up there and I'll pay for the fuel. We aren't going to stay that night My camera man has to work early Monday. We are shooting CCMP Saturday night so we can't leave till early Sunday. I have a four door truck. You would have a comfortable ride. All it'll cost you is to get here. If sales are good I'll pay for your fuel to here. Thanks Bob...Comment

Florida Video was hired at the beginning of the planning for this weekend's show...Dave did not get punted...Dave was asked to be the announcer for the event. Thank you Bob for being such a kind person. This is a weekend for fun and getting together with people you may never have a chance to see again. Thanks Dave for letting me know, I will find another announcer.
