" It was a dark and stormy night......." --NOT--

No rain clouds and/or coastal fronts whatsoever here at all.
New Smyrna Speedway had a good night of racing, and a few buds and myself were treated to an OK/alright show, which is far better than I deserve,
Tried to hitch onto a half-dozen of semi-local Raceways, and they were either closed for the night, rained out, or too far to reach driving there in the time frame.
I was entertained thoroughly, and so were the fans. Nice to see Duane, Mr. Keeler, Rex, and SS29, M. Seay, and his Dad. I hadn't been there in 6 months.
With a huge storm comming into the area, racing at a local Raceway was nice.
Tomorrow, it's at the beach for surfing with the family, as the waves are hitting almost 9 feet. Surfing, anyone?
Anyway, New Smyrna Speedway, I think, has it going on once again, and it's nice to see once again.

Roger, was great to see you and Jerry there last night...

What a great night... we got a little shower in the afternoon that put us a bit behind schedule, but once those clouds broke the track was green...

Great racing too... not sure ANYONE expected the finish of the Late Model race, it's been a LONG time since I've seen the 'bump-n-run' coming to the White Flag to take a win...

All in all it was a great race by all 26 drivers...

Can't wait to do it again... this week it's the Bright House Challenge Series - Super Late Models... think Clouser can pull the same move on Rogers to take his first SLM win??? or what about Colangelo or Russell, can they put an end to David's winning streak??? Should be another great night at the high-banked half-mile... Guess you're just gonna have to be here!

Mark, it was nice to see this sportsmanship right after the race as well. Congrats to Chad and Daniel both!

It was great seeing that many fans and that many cars.

Looks like Chad needs a lesson on how to shake a mans hand. It looks like hes got the "I am gonna make love to you Daniel" handshake going on.

and what is that in the background? A jumbo tron? I wanted to come but had to work late.

              hey surf dude

The waves were good at Summer Haven until around noon when the wind went from offshore to south. There were some 6' foot faces earlier. I'm sore as hell...and will be for days! Heard saturday it was huge.

Edm - Yes that's the TV Truck from Palm Tree Computers showing the race from Bristol...

Although it almost didn't happen, we had issues with the Satellite system that they gave us, but Randy Froehlich (#8 Modified at OSW / #1 Super Stock Owner) loaned us his Satellite Dish and receiver from his trailer for the night...

It was a good night... you should've been there!
