what supermod?
When Tripper and Gary raised the preposterous notion that a sprint could outrun an Indy car, I took the Indy car bet. Somewhere later down the thread the idea of a super was introduced; that is a whole different scenario.
Of the three, I'd put my money on the super because of the extreme amount of left side bias.
The only way a sprint would win is if AFR drove the indy car!
----disclaimer-----not a flame------disclaimer----
This was a good hearted jest based on AFR's sprint exploits and his enthusiasm to try the indy car. All offended parties may breathe into a paper bag for a few minutes until their vision clears.

Me and my Schwinn Chopper.....
Indy car racing would bore a house plant to death.
Give me my old 3-speed Schwinn and some Jolt Cola and I could whup em' all......
On a more serious note and with ALL the positive energy I can muster.....I think this type of car will be exactly the same on a short track as they are on a long track: BORING.
The specter of speed may attract some but I'm over it in less than 5 laps. They don't run within 20 feet of each other except when one of the trained monkeys sitting in the cockpit misjudges a corner entry and if one of their all important airfoils should get damaged they pack it in and call it a day. The driver's (and I use that term loosely) box is a myriad of computers and buttons and switches and levers.......sometimes I think the race cars are being driven from an observation tower on top of the stands.
If I were a betting man....I'd go with with Superman Steele in any Sprint Car driving circles around these dudes all....day.......long. And twice on Sunday. All he would have to do is show em some nerf bar be drivin' away while they're cleanin' their trousers.........
Am interested to know what engines and drivetrain they will be running as the 10,000 rpm riceburners and 6 speed gearboxes aren't real compatible for on the gas/off the gas action of a short track.

Gary LaPlant is getting things together!!!
Gary has done a GREAT job with putting the "OUTLAW STREET STOCK" together (high count of 27 cars). And now has this OUTLAW INDY CAR program. But, he is also putting together the OUTLAW SPRINTS for 1/12/08 at CCMP. WOW!!!! If they are half the show the STREET STOCK are it will be a heck of a FAN favorite.
Carol great picture and Little Bobby is little anymore. He look like he ready to start the New Karting program at CCMP. As always thanks for the support and being a FAN of Short Track racing everwhere.

Let that new series(old timers or old school ????) use them. I wanna see Dave Marcus run an Indy car........WAIT, I know...How big is CCMP's parking lot? Is there an old airport near by? Everyone bring an orange cone."I watch figure skating for the crashes"
