Fifth (5th) rainout in a row, and one more will make it a half season gone to washouts. Rare times indeed, it is.
Mr. Bristol couldn't have encountered a worse year to steer the helm.

this is not a record of rainouts at speedworld. I was just talking to my brother and we can remember 7 in a row and 28 for the year when we raced all year long.it was in 1992 i think in 1998 we had almost no rainouts. speedwoorld closed for a different reason fires and smoke. this is what happens when we enjoy the outdoors. I have been at this track since 1974 on and off. robert has always since his dad bought this track ask what we could do to help get cars and fans there. i still today say saturday is the day to race. the track around 70 miles north is the reason we don't. But over the years the 2 tracks have seen different drivers and they don't go to both tracks anymore like they use too. Saturday is the day to race
