Little 500 - Its on

Its official, Bithlo Falls Speedway has cancelled for tonight, so some of us are heading to the Lil' 500 kart track in Maitland. It will be a disorganized, stress-free night of intense competition and fun.

Everyone is invited, everyone is welcomed. This is a last-minute thing, so spread the word. They run that track rain or shine, but will wait out a typhoon or big lightning storm.

Lets shoot for 8 pm until closing.

Its super easy to find. The track is in central Orlando, on 17-92 in Maitland, 1 mile south of SR 436. There is a map on the website below.

I'm so good there, I might have to put a bounty on myself!

Let me tell you something about Ralph the flagman. I am convinced that the only reason FASCAR hired him to be the starter is to insure that he doesn't DRIVE A RACECAR at the track. Its probably pretty good strategy; he raises enough hell with the flags.

Also looked on their website and the new Central Florida Motorsports Complex (South Orlando) has already rained out their Friday drag racing program... Too wet!

well, you said EVERYBODY was invited so what time are the opening ceremonies? I work about 5 min from there and might squeeze by on my way to disney world - I can take everything I learn and apply it to the "go karts" at disney.
