Just got off the phone with a friend who was at an Advanced Auto Parts store. He got to talking with someone at the store. Anyway, the guy at the store seemed to think that the #56 sprint car driver was fatally injured...VOLUSIA PLEASE UPDATE THE FANS & DRIVERS AT VOLUSIA SPEEDWAY PARK THAT ALLEN KALUZNIAK IS RECOVERING FROM HIS CRASH. THANKS TO HIS ATTENTION TO SAFETY (CONTAINMENT SEAT, HEAD & NECK RESTRAINT, ARM RESTRAINTS & HELMET) HE WILL BE FINE.

Allen was treated and released at the hospital that night. He was a bit sore and achy the following week, but as you stated, his safety equipment did its job and protected him well.
