At Jackie Robinson Ball Park--
And Haudfan would be proud, I think.
Wed. Night baseball game in Daytona Beach with the K-9 following.....and all dogs allowed into the Arena/Ballpark. Jacqueline and I made the way into the ballpark, as it was a big " dog night" at the ol' ballgame.
Complete with two Siberian Huskeys in tow, a good night it was. Lots of furry dog's, and their handlers were there, we made our way to the boarded Budweiser Deck, and that is where we saw a great game for the Single A Teams.
Lots of fans around, and lots of dogs, too. We both met alot of folks, and were glad to be there. Too many folks gravitated to our ol' blue eyed, winter-wizard type pooches, and we were more than happy to tell them the stories, and also that were there from the others that were dog owners themselves.
(and yes, we bagged up the poop ourselves, except for one guy, I cleaned up his dogs #2 droppings, that dickhead owner).
There was another thread awhile back about Minor League Baseball being really good about bringing in the crowd, and I couldn't agree more. It was a fun night for all, you bet, and it seems that local short tracks could do the same.
There was however, a New Smyrna Speedway promotional spot, and a race car on Sunday Night, to promote the Speedway, and that was pretty cool.
Local short track racing and minor-league baseball, all to bring a crowd in.
