As a fairly rare occurance for a race night , we stayed home last night and happened to catch the IRL race from Kentucky . I've always thought that series was under rated , but after last nights race i'm sure of it . They now use a " push to pass " button for a quick burst of extra power . But i'm not sure last nights race had much to do with the button . The top 6 or 7 cars were right on top of each other all night , and the top 2 cars ran the last 30 or so laps side by side . If the IRL goes to a channel that people actually get , their ratings are gonna get much better after a show like that . Just like the Isle of Man TT races that few people get to see .
