    When It Rains

    My daughter was hurt today in Colorado and I am flying there tomorrow. If your press releases are alittle late or race results going up alittle late, please forgive me but I will get them up as fast as possible.

    Family is more important then racing. If they want to know bad enough, they can always call the track.

          Couldn't sleep so the events for August 7 and 8 are listed on my corner. To everyone at Volusia, thanks for understanding. I had all intentions of being there tonight to write but when I got the call from Colorado, I knew that is where I needed to be. Kimber is doing okay so far. Her lung has started to inflate on it's own so for now, no tube. She is badly bruised and beat up and does not remember anything after the truck hit her but all I can say is thank you Lord for taking care of my baby. She is my only daughter and the mother of two children she adores and thank God she is still here. And thank God that my mom let me borrow her credit card to get to Colorado since I could have not done it without her. Last week I was in the hospital with her and this weekend I will be in the hospital with my daughter.

          Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes and have a safe weekend racing. I will see you at Volusia on August 15th since I won't be home from Colorado until Sunday, August 9th unless I am needed longer.

            As much as we love to have you with us at VSP and truly appreciate all your hard work with the news and results, I must jump on this bandwagon to say
            FAMILY ALWAYS COMES FIRST!!! You take good care of your daughter and parents and don't hesitate to call on all your friends in the racing community for help and support. We are here for you!
