To my biggest fan...

Even though I am not racing right now, there is someone in my life that has been my biggest fan, my son. Chris turns 18 years old today and it was something that we never thought would happen over 13 years ago when he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. He was so sick that they told us he might not make it. Today he is with us, a high school graduate and going to go to Valencia College to major in Computer Programming and Analyst starting the end of August. We are going to Animal Kingdom to enjoy his birthday and dinner with family on Sunday.

Happy Birthday Chris - I hope you had a wonderful time at Animal Kingdom. I know how your mom feels since I was there also once, not knowing if my child would be here the next day or not. But God got us thru it and now she is a mom herself.

Chris says thank you for the birthday wishes. Unfortunately he woke up this morning sick and was not able to go to Animal Kingdom. He was sick to his stomach and spent most of the day in bed sleeping. Something most teenagers would do but not my son unless he is really sick. He says he feels a little better but he doesn't look like it. I told him we would go another time to Animal Kingdom.
