I really enjoyed my visit to your track this year, and wish you good luck with whatever on earth is coming next.

Thanks for editing that phone number post Bobby . It makes much more sense now . I know it can be confusing sometimes .
Until i got fed up with the walking embarrassment that is Bobby Diehl , i was a frequent and long time ticket buyer at CCMP , so i have some insight on the track and what makes it work . Bobby has little to do with it . CCMP has been brought up out of the ashes so to speak by a very dedicated group of racers , fans , and officials . While he tries to take the credit for selling tickets , its really all about everyone else involved with that track . I've watched their efforts carefully over the years , and i know whos responsible for CCMP being the track it is . It would be nice if Bobby started giving the credit to the people who deserve it . And he might once or twice . And then he'll go back to his usual gibberish about him being the greatest promotor on earth . Because thats Bobby Diehl , and Bobby Diehl is all hes really interested in .

I think a LOT of people are watching this thread just because of the morbid curiosity that a train-wreck brings. There may be 663 people watching the train wreck, but I doubt many people will be "buying tickets" to get a seat on it.

P.S. - Has David Wilson even been mentioned since this hijacking took place? Does anyone even know (or care) that he is racing under the wing of Lee Faulk, a long-time racing figure in Central Florida? Or that the former Hooters Cup series is hanging in there, possibly growing a little?

Or, once again, is this all about Bobby?

Never mind.... don't bother to answer!

So sad that this has to continue under the name of this thread.

Jerry is correct about the train wreck scenario. Or is it the reason people go to the "Greatest Show On Earth"? To watch the clowns make fools of themselves?

                      Hi Winger,
When I was there I only saw good racing and lots of cars. No clowns and no fools. How many of Bobby's critics have actually been to the track lately?

Hey Boneman, I wasn't criticizing or even referring to the track. I was referring to the posts in this thread. It wasn't meant to be a negative post against the track.

Ahhhhhhhh, my reference to the "Greatest Show on Earth" is a reference to the original. The circus.

                            Yes, yes,yes and NO!

I was on track for the autograph session and talked to David Wilson, Clay Rogers, Bobby Gill and Billy Bigly Jr.

It was a great race with a good field of cars. I think David's track time at Hickory this year gave him that edge.

Whatever Bobby is posting (he's blocked) and i can imagine by AJ's argument it has nothing to do with the thread.

And the super promoter part....he does have enthusiasm..but, it's the only track in south fla for asphalt drivers. Shoot, he could stand at the gate and pick his nose and his butt continuously in no specific order with the SAME FINGER and the fans and cars would still roll in if the gate is open.
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

Bonman, you are so right. CCMP has some of the best racing in this state and the best car count by far.

I am sure that Bobby has helped a lot more racers out there than his critics have. Racers like David Wilson. If it were not for Bobby's Fastkids series none of the these kids would have been able to start racing a full sized stock car at 12 yrs old and be competing at the level they are at now. The list is long and I am sure everyone of these kids are greatfull for what Bobby has done for each and every one of them.

This week while my son was filling out a driver development program application he received, one of the questions was "name three professional references who has hepled you in your racing career". Bobby was one of the first people that came to my son's mind. I am sure that there are many more kids that feel the same way.

Buying at ticket to a race track does not constute having some insight on the track and what makes it work. If you want to know that, like myself and Bobby have learned the hard way, you need to go thru the buying prosess, county permit prosess, the hireing prosess, the book keeping prosess, the Incorporation prosess, the on going promoting prosess, consessions, restrooms and trach, and so on. Then you might get to open the gate for day one. Then you have a whole nother group of stuff to deal with like entries and pay out, tech and protest, pit selections, fuel, tires, parts, ect. It don't stop. The casual ticket buyer don't see 10% of what it takes to keep a race track running.

Congradulation David!!! I never had any dought that you could do it ever since the first time I met you at that Fastkids race. Great job!!!

Well at least you're loyal . I doubt Bobby will thank you for taking his side , hes a little self involved , so i'll thank you for your input .
A couple of points , first , don't be so sure that the only things i ever did at CCMP were as spectator .
The list of things you posted that a track owner would have to go through are certainly accurate , but not for Bobby . Thanks to the Airport Authority , most of those things were grandfathered in , already done , or done for him .
As for helping youngsters get started in racing , Bobby has probably done as little as any one i know of . Oh , hes helped get kids started in racing , helped turn some kids lives around , but every time he tells the stories they get bigger . And i can think of literally a hundred people who have accomplished more for bringing kids into racing than Bobby has . In case you haven't noticed , Bobby likes to heavily embellish his past .
In fact , speaking of helping kids , Andrew Hart should be commended for his work in the back pack program . Thats a great idea and its nice to see someone take the initiative like that . Andrew makes nothing out of that program . And i'll bet you'll never see him patting himself on the back with web posts and bouncing balloons .
