I was digging around my old masters today and found some old stuff some one may be interested in. one was the 1988 winternationals at Sunshine. 1988 IMCA Mods at East bay. 1985 Southern Shoot out at sunshine, I think that was a part of the tripple crown that was held back then. 1986 Icebreaker at Desoto Speedway. I found a lot of neat stuff. I looked at some and the video is still good. I think I am going to put those on dvd to preserve them.
ab195: I think I found the raw footage for the 2000 Icebreaker at Desoto. I'll look at it as soon as I get time. If thats it I'll have to build a master. I am thinking it has to be the Icebreaker, its 2/06/00 and I don't ever remember having anything except an Enduro maybe, before the Ice breaker and 2/6 has to be the Icebreaker.

I also got down the master from '94 when we had the race of champions with Richard Petty, Bill elliot, John Andretti and Wally Dahlenbach. I also saw another Race of champions where the allisons were here. Davy too I think.

There is a bunch to still look at but I stood the heat up there as long as I could. If I had the time and money I'd get all that stuff down and catolog it and put some selected ones on DVD. I have all the Hi-lite tapes out and I plan to put maybe 3 years on one Dvd and sell them. That has all the crashes and spins we got for each year. Bob..

Hey Gary, I am going to put them on DVD and I'll know more about them then. The ones I looked at were dark but as I remember Sunshine wasn't real well lit then anyway. Were you there when they had the Winter National figure Eights?
I shot video there every week for almost a year. I finished out the year there when Stimus went bankrupt and left when Dwayne Music bought Desoto. I really need to get all those masters down in the cool and arrange them in chronological order. I may not have lost any. Just have them misplaced. Bob...

No I never went to feb figure 8 races.I have a tape with the mini stock figure 8 s from 87 back when the cars were real compact cars mostly Pintos.

Yeah, those were the days. I don't remember the year now and don't remember his last name but in the MS fig 8 he flipped on his roof so may times he welded roller skates to his roof. I think his name was Tim. I get some of the old stuff out every once in a while and just reminise. We got rained out at CCMP tonite, thats why I am on here Sat night. LOL! Bob...

I Went to East Bay .A street stock flipped in a heat and landed on the wheels,and a 4 cylinder bomber flipped on his roof and still raced in the main.

Yeah I got hooked on dirt racing. In 50+ years involved in racing I had probably been to 1/2 dozen dirt races over the years.I have never raced on dirt, but I traveled with the UDLMCS for 2 years and I got hooked. I used to say dirt was for growing taters and Asphalt was for racing, now dirts for racing and asphalt is for getting there. But I have to go where I can make a living. Right now that's video taping asphalt races. A buddy of mine was going to go to East bay sat but he thought they were rained out. I still haven't found out if they raced at Hendry county. I read something on here Sat about they were on hold but didn't see anything else. Have you ever been to Clewiston? Its a neat track wide with a little banking. My buddys son is the Tech inspector for Kenny at Hendry. Bob...
