Hello Race Fans!
We at Hendry County Motorsports Park want to thank you for the great support last week, both drivers and fans making Saturday July 18, 2009 a very special day for south Florida racing.
Of course there are things that owner Ken Kinney Jr. is determined to improve to bring you a better Saturday night entertainment experience. One is the track surface, which already is being addressed in order to make it more suitable for excellent racing and more comfortable for race fans. Bottom line is, the track was too dusty last Saturday, but it was the first night and the surface was only made ready for racing two weeks ago, and it will continue to improve along with better parking and more fan seating.
A schedule of events for the next several weeks should be available by Saturday, 25 July. There are still some changes being made to the schedule and they should be ready soon. This Saturday the Sportsman are featured. When you hear our radio ads playing at many stations throughout south Florida, you will hear them called "limited late models". That's our sportsman division.
Also this Saturday heats and features will include Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Hendry County Mini Stocks and V-8 Bombers. Pit gates open at 3 PM, fan gates open at 4 PM. As always tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 or an adult ticket is $12 at the gate. More information at www.hendrycountyracing.com
