With all the response to this I think it is going to be great.Lots of drivers ,officials and spectators .I know these guys are going to put on a great show for everyone to enjoy.
From the response looks like we might have too have two races.
I ordered the trophy for these guys Friday and it is 6 foot tall .and really gonna be a beautiful piece.
There will be camping in the field and lots stuff to do .
Dunk your favorite driver,Put a driver in jail,Kids games and just loads of fun.
Let's Don't forget the BAR B-QUE...
With all this planned and lots more who could resist.

You know what would be a great addition to the classic drivers? How about a few classic race announcers? Chip Greene, Marty Little and whoever else is still around. It would be great to see the legends and hear some too.

Who was the announcer at Golden Gate in the early '80s when it reopened, along with Dickie Edwards? Jack Miller...? He still around? That guy was good, too! Put Westerman up there, too!

I may have missed it, but is there a date set for this thing? Probably won't make it up to Lake City, but was just wondering.

Oh,yeah it has been great calling all these guys and talking about old times .I have really gotta tell you all they are still great and I am honored that I was chossen to put this together for them.
I am still looking for drivers and fans and staff from when these guys raced.If any body has more to ad to this event please let me know.

Great job so far!!! I know how tough it is to put these together, and to get this much support, this quickly, is impressive.

There's no way in HELL I would miss this event.

Have you thought of inviting the DAARA Club or some of the other Panhandle/Southern Georgia Vintage Racecar clubs? They make a fantastic addition to a program like this, and seem to be well appreciated by the attendees as well.

One piece of advice given to me when I set up my first Reunion - "There is only ONE guarantee in this whole thing... you will NOT sleep the night before" You can't imagine how true this will become!
