This is from Jayski's......NASCAR: Mayfield again tests positive for meth: NASCAR says Jeremy Mayfield has again tested positive for methamphetamine and wants the federal judge who lifted the driver's drug suspension to reinstate the ban. The positive result from a July 6 random test was included in a U.S. District Court filing Wednesday. The filing includes an affidavit from Mayfield's stepmother, who claims she personally witnessed the driver using methamphetamine at least 30 times over seven years. NASCAR says in its filings that the "A" sample had levels of methamphetamine consistent with habitual users who consume high doses. The filing also claims Mayfield and his attorneys have failed to select a qualified laboratory to test the backup "B" sample.(Associated Press)
AND The general manager of Jeremy Mayfield's race team says he has left the organization because he doesn't believe Mayfield Motorsports will return to the race track. Bobby Wooten says he was the last remaining employee. The team was started this season, and Mayfield said in court documents he had to lay off 10 employees since NASCAR suspended him in May for failing a random drug test. A federal judge has lifted that suspension, but Mayfield did not bring the #41 Toyota to the track in the two races since he was reinstated. Wooten says he does not believe Mayfield has any interest in resurrecting the team.(Associated Press)(7-15-2009)

If you do some research on this you will find out this is another slanted story. Take a look at the Carl Long forum for some links.

The July 6 test was from the same sample as before in the same lab using the same procedure.

He has NOT tested positive from a second test.

Mayfield has some interesting things to say about his step mom:

      http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/nascar...ory?id=4330592

Mayfield said he does not trust NASCAR testing and saved his strongest words for his stepmother.

"She's basically a whore," he told ESPN.com's David Newton. "She shot and killed my dad."

Mayfield's father Terry died in 2007 at age 56 of what the Chapel Hill, N.C., medical examiner called a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. Nevertheless, Mayfield told ESPN.com on Wednesday that his stepmother will be served with a wrongful death suit on Thursday.

"She knows what we've got on her," Mayfield said. "For her to come out and do this is pretty ballsy. Everybody that's ever known me knows I never, ever have been around her for more than 10 hours of my life. She's a gold digger. I knew that from Day 1."

Although he said he has no proof, Mayfield claimed that NASCAR paid Lisa Mayfield for her affidavit.

"It wouldn't take much money. She tried to get money from me," Mayfield said. "I have a very short fuse when it comes to her."

Mayfield said he has been tested for drugs every two to five days by an independent lab and never tested positive. He said it was no coincidence that the tests by NASCAR's lab resulted in his suspension and now another positive test. In blasting NASCAR, he went straight for the top, chairman Brian France.

"Brian France talking about effective drug programs is like having Al Capone talking about effective law enforcement," Mayfield said.

When someone believable says Mayfield is using drugs , then i might go along with it . Nascar has proven they are NOT believable .

No matter how the remainder of this case (fight) plays out Mayfield's professional career is OVER.

If Nascar case by case hearings are loss, loss, loss they still won.....he's out. Noone will put him in a car due to political correctness.

Reading other news releases Mayfield has had multiple negative tests, but, Nascar will not accept them due to the fact it's not THEIR lab doing the testing.

The July 6, fail is from the origional sample Nascar's lab had from May according to reports because Mayfield couldn't supply a lab to test the broken seal (invalid) sample. I would think no lab WOULD test that one.

It's down and dirty time but the damage has been done.

All this is from reports from multiple news outlets.

If anyone knows how to skirt the law after a night of substance abuse it would be Brian France. After all, he knows how to have a few cocktails, drive his Lexus into a tree, run and hide in his condo and somehow magically avoid any sort of charges.

"Brian, we love how you inherited a goldmine, buy us a drink!" - - "No can do fellas, I've already had three too many and I'm late to go drive my Lexus into a tree. Later!"

i would be surprised if he could.

right or wrong, it's going to be very difficult for him to acquire sponsorship now that NASCAR has poisoned the well for him. and you can't very well keep any employees on hand when you don't have any sponsors to pay to run the shop and you have no idea when you will next be able to race again.

remember, the judge has placed an injunction against NASCAR's suspension but Mayfield still has to submit to all of the normal NASCAR paperwork and regulatory requirements to get into any race. bureaucrats can make life a living hell for you when they want too.

at this point, probably the only thing Mayfield can do is lay the ground work for a Wrongful Harm suit in 6 months to a year.

Noone will put him in a car due to political correctness.

                  it's not political correctness.

it's simple recognition that no car or sponsor associated with Mayfield will get a fair shake from NASCAR.

sounds a lot like Michael Waltrip. you think the big dogs at NASCAR give each other advice about how to avoid DUI's?

Mayfield said. "I have a very short fuse when it comes to her."

                  ya think, Jeremy?

you're accusing her of murdering your father and being a whore. there's obviously a lot of bad blood between these two.
