The V8 StockCar racers make their first of two trips to Road Atlanta in 2009 July 18 & 19 once again testing what many of them consider the toughest road course in North America. The world class 2.54 mile road course with its' twelve turns, scary elevation changes, and near Daytona
top speeds, can quickly test the confidence and ability of even seasoned road course veterans. Some thirty big bore stock cars and GT's are expected with top flight racers like american road racing Icon Gene Felton, former Grand Am Champion Dave Machavern, former Nascar Dash series champ Larry Hoopaugh, SCCA National series winners like Bob Mayer & Scott Murphy and South Atlantic Road Racing Champs Bill Smith, Butch Kummer and Tony Amico. Ex Speed GT racer Charles Wicht is also expected in his wicked, winged Monte Carlo.
