create a reference list where all the short track racers in the state can come here and look up the track and contact info and get their questions answered.

will a Bronson Street Stock be allowed to run Super Stock at OSW? call Carl Green.

what's the payout for Auburndale's enduro? call Rex Guy. is your car legal for the A-dale enduro? call Ted Head.

what do you need to know to run your Mod Mini or Truck at the big Citrus race? etc.

you are right, track testing/rental is a subject i wasn't really thinking of and you would need to know the track management info at the big road courses to get that done.



They have the money (9 mil) to build an asphalt oval but the county won't give them a permit unless they 4 lane 710 to the county line.

PBI would like to build a 1/2 mile track that would have the ability to handle ARCA and Nationwide type races. Seven Kings has put over 30 mil in the track since they bought is seperating the road coarse from the drag strip so they can run both tracks on the same day. The place is beautiful. Right now they putting in a huge complex of race shops and bays to lease to the racing public to house the there race teams.

9 mil don't go as far down here is S. Florida as it does in north of us. Heck, I just completed a 33000 sq ft house that sold for 27 mil. Cash. The lot was 9 mil for about 2 acers. You have to remember that Jupiter Island it the richest zip code world.

I will get you the name and number of the guy's that runs the road coarse and the drag strip for your reference list. Thanks for the list.

Right now I have to get the car ready for Hendry Co this weekend. Hope to see some of you there.

It will interesting to see if the new owners have the pull to get an oval track built . The local officials were not having any part of any oval being built when it was Moroso . Laura South apparently just gave up .

however, right know i am still locked out of the "Edit" function so i can't make any more updates to that post.

i can kludge around it by starting a new thread every time i need to fix/update the list but that is an incredibly stupid way to do things.

tell Jack or the admin that either they need to turn off the timer on the edit function or they need to create a new user class that doesn't have a timer on things like that and put me in it.

AJ. When Karen Marcus was county commisioner, she approved the track to Moroso's dauther. Pepsi was going to put up the money to build the track but no one would put up the money to build Hwy 710. The entrance to PBIR is to a two lane road. A few months ago when they filmed the new Pinks Arm Drop the Hwy was dead stopped all the way back to Pratt Whitney. They do need to do something.

Sumter Motorsports Park

Todd:

Can't recall if any of the replies mentioned this, but Sumter Motorsports Park has folded. Bill Cleary is moving his operation up to Thunderbowl Speedway in Ocala, and plans to start racing there late August/early September of this year.

Also, The Villages Motor Racing Fan Club has a similar collection of Florida race track date on their website (www.villagesracingclub.com).
