We are trying to put on a race for drivers 60 and over.It's a run what you brung race.All cars will be allowed to run except Modifieds and super late models.
This will be a Sunday race ,So everyone can come..
I would like you to claim a track from back when and tell me you are interested.
Dickie Anderson says he will be here.
Don Nerone will also drive acar for this race
Gene Dunkin has said he'll be there.
Eddie King is a maybe

Anyone can drive in this race if they are 60 years old or better.This is kinda like reunion of sorts .The boss man just wants to have a lot of fun with all his old friends.So if anybody knows any phone numbers please call them and invite them or ask if we can have there phone number thanks,Joyce

Thanks,Mr.Abney for all your help and everyone else the list is growing.At this point I have alist of at least 60 drivers over the age of 60.I am so excited .we might get 3 or 4 races out of these guys. I think the boss man is getting a little excited as well. It really is a great idea you have there . There are a lot of drivers who don't believe they're over the hill just yet . And it gives the fans another chance , or maybe the first chance , to see drivers from the past . Other tracks should consider doing this . Might even evolve into a small touring series with a points fund .

Would that be something ? I have a few more names to ad to I am coming list and I will post today when this race is goning to be.I know I am sure excited about it. I really think it is going to be great.Personally I don't think any one of them ever has retired completely .My dad use to say once aracer
always a racer in some form or another.
I am excited to get the response we have gotten and I hope everyone on the list comes out.

he said no oxgen no problem then he said no aircond listen took air cond out of one of wrecked cars and hid it in race car got me new fire suit run vent tube up inside my right firesuit leg turned everthing on got real good mechanic helping me

guess he put too much coolant in it got so cold burnt hair off my leg and hip but it will probably be ok by time we race sure am glad i did not hook it up to my helmet

I think Rance is still around, but I don't know if he's physically able to race. I know Gene Owen is still racing. Oral is still in Lawtey and comes to CMP from time to time. Ronnie Leupo has been sited in South Georgia. The rest are guy's that were regulars are CMP, Jax speedway and NFS back in the day. Don't know how many are still around though but would love to see them back on the track again.
