Just to let everyone know that the turn out for practice this past Saturday night at Hendry County Speedway was a success. Unfortunatly the sixty cars that did show up did'nt get the time they wanted on the track due to the rain.
Sunday afternoon was some what of a success with about fifteen cars coming back out to see what was in store for them this coming Saturday night.
I counted ten cars at one time trying out the new surface. The track held up pretty good with only a few little holes developing in the turns.
For the most part of the three hours of practice, there were cars on the track running all out. To bad they could'nt use the lower part of the track in the turns, due to to much water, but you could tell most of the time the drivers were nailing the heck out of the throttle keeping it on the high side. What ever material he had trucked in should hold up better than anything else.
Kudo's and a round of applause goes to Mr. Kinny for sprucing up the place with all the tree's, sod, concrete walk ways and painting. The place has never looked better.
It's going to be good to see some good ol dirt track racing the way it supposed to be.
