Thanks for all your advise and know one has put me on the burner just yet.
All I am trying to do is promote my track and get people to no whats going on.I am not trying to make anyone mad or get anyone upset about the way I make a post.I was just trying to get some excitement stirred up.Please listen for the ad on the radio station it will be on again this week.Looking forward to a good show this week end .Hope to see lots of you there.Joyce

i apologize..... i didnt really want to chastise you. i really only wanted to encourage Joyce. she is fairly new on this board and i dont want her to give up like so many other women have. you guys are tough.
why is it that you guys can say whatever you want and you tell me i cant. i can say whatever i want... this is as much my board as yours. i dont back down from a bunch of guys who are only tough behind fake names and a keyboard... if you hate what i say then why do you continually read it... OSF... why dont you block me. lately all you can do is insult me...i dont think its ok to talk to friends like that.you have my number and you could have called...you have my email and you could have written...but you chose to "think" you could humiliate me in public... WTG friend...
i just think when someone has a message about their race track its ok to write it any way they want. at least caps makes people pay attention...OBVIOUSLY... maybe i just dont get the thing about caps...i never get mad when someone uses them... i just dont care that much. its their message thats important to me... not how it looks. but thats just me. i dont want to die of stress so i just ignore alot of trivial stuff...
im not mad at anyone but im sure disappointed...
winger... im nearly 70 and im having an aweful time remembering names... i thought you were a guy i know who goes racing with his son.. his son is about 30 something... i know faces and i know names but sometimes i cant put them together. i cant apologize for that because i cant help it. but i am sorry ,,,, joyce will have to learn to either ignore some of the negativity or toughen up and just do what she thinks is right.
anyways... its a beautiful sunny day in florida and we are all still breathing so cant we play better?

WINGER is correct about alot of people leaving the board, its amazing how people talk about it at different tracks... that many people CAN'T be wrong..

Joyce , you don't need to worry about ignoring the dreaded negativity , opinions will always differ on every subject and a view thats opposite of yours gives you a chance to learn something .
What you DO want to avoid is becoming a drama queen , the quota for those on this board is already filled .

Something for you to think about......

i am 66 years old. I lost the husband i adored and spend 99% of my time alone (by choice), my health isnt great and the one thing i love (outside of hailey and bobby) is racing. i love the wonderful friends ive made.
for many years i have done radio shows, taken and printed many pictures for racers and never take a penny..., i lost count f those, ive gone to track promotions, sent money to people who had real hardships, supported drivers at every track, helped with projects such as the Mod reunion, and anything else i can do to help this sport. i know i can get on your nerves when i post some things but so what? the only time i get dramatic is when you guys hurt peoples feelings. its uncalled for... you can get your points across without insults...
you call me "mother superior" well i cant tell you how many people call me their track "mom".....they love and respect me. this freaking board is the only place people treat me like a second class idiot.
the truth is i really dont care what some of you think. i dont do it for message board addicts. i do what i do for the drivers and for the sport...
i would love to see some of you come on here and write something NEWSWORTHY! most of the time you talk sh$$t....you tear apart anyone who does want to contribute....
before you point fingers at me, take a long look at your own behavior.
i will write when i hear racing news and i am really going to try to not be so critical... i hope you will try not to be so insulting.
thats it... i want to spend the day with my great grandchildren. they are so much more fun. just came in for some cool air...

To all of you on this board.I am here to do a job.I am not prefect and I never will be .I make mistakes the same as anyone else.Ms.Carol I am in this for the long haul.There critizium is good for me makes me tougher .I love my job and I love being able to do what I do. We are a long way from most tracks so I do what I can to bring in drivers and fans.I am told by other staff members I should not talk on here.I disagree.I am doing nothing wrong but,trying to do the best job I can and tel people about what is going on at Columbia.I will tell you all I am not here for any other reason.thank you all for your suggestions and helping me post the right way on this board.Thank you Ms.Carol for taking up for me.Joyce

you will be ok... just stay focused and close your eyes to the BS... as i told you before, there are alot more people reading this board than participate... so when you have news about your track, by all means, promote it... but dont be like me...theyve had a decade to hate me... hahaha just stick to business... you are doing fine and i love your ideas. that is something ive been asking for for a long time. a race to honor all the pioneers... its a big job but it can be done. i dont want to spend too much time on here so please email me at carolwicks@comcast.net or call any time...941-629-7451... i can help you with numbers etc.

Joyce , you seem like a very nice , very sincere person . So don't let Carols' use of the private message function lead you down the wrong path . The readers of this board don't dislike you . They don't dislike the fact that you try to promote the race track . And they don't dislike women posting comments . In fact the only negative item i can find posted regarding you is the use of all CAPS . And that post was from a pretty nice guy , so it certainly wasn't designed to hurt your feelings .
Don't let certain people talk you into believing that you're dragging a cross with you because you're a female posting against all of the bad men on this board . It just ain't so . Your feelings will only be hurt if you deserve getting them hurt , and so far i'd say you have no reason to worry about that at all . It isn't you and a couple of others against all of us , like you're being told .
Welcome to the board , we all look forward to reading your posts . I think your idea about the senior drivers is a good one .

Joyce, everyone is behind you 100% (Mostly WINGER, his comments were meant to be helpful, NOT HURTFUL)
NOTE: WINGER is probably the nicest guy on this board. Never has a bad word to say (but will speak honestly regarding HIS feelings and as an adult -should not be "Corrected" for doing so.)

Keep up what you are doing and stand tall - as AJ states, DO NOT BE LED - continue what YOU are doing - you don't need to change a thing.

Hope to meet you some day at that great track in North Florida (love that track). Again, good luck to Sandy and Don (I remember the day Sandy needed me to give up my "Reserved Seat" at NSS because it was sold twice - the trade off was she had to give me a hug - nicest hug I got "That Day").

joyce. osf is right about this...winger is a great guy. i never meant for this to get so nasty. all i was saying is to do what you want to promote your track..thats it! roflll as far as private messages. that was not meant to give you private pep talks and definitely not to bad mouth anyone. thats not my style... i try to like everyone.
i have access to alot of information that might help you in your quest for a senior race. thats all... i dont need to defend myself... i work hard for racing.
i really hope things go well for sandy and don... they are lucky to have someone like you...

look in don hired you --- i met you - don't worry about what some people say about you on this board - but listen stay out of them woods up there while me and don were riding around in woods i thought i saw a big ugly bear

but it could have been no neck roy grimes checking out race track he told me he was coming up there --

any body gives you any trouble send them over to my race car hauler next time i'm up there ok

if i can't fix it my wife will she has a big hammer keeps me in line seeya look tell the boss man don't be out on that track testing for that old man race his arms will be too tired when it comes time to race

i too the power sterring belts off my tow truck my caddy - and my corvette and have let some of air out of front tire of my harley i'm getting in shape

was going to arm wrestle some of ladies in office but my wife came in and stopped me really looking forward to this
