  • Need something to do Thursday night?

Why not go out and meet Jeremy Colangelo? He'll be out at his sponsor Route 46 Entertainment Complex with his car Thursday night from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. For those of you that went to NSS last week for the Clyde Hart Memorial, this would be your chance to use the free coupons they were giving out. The complex is located just off I4 in Sanford at Route 46 obviously. It's just past the mall, next to BJs. Jerm is a pretty nice guy and the food is quite tasty.

Besides, you got a better idea on how to spend your Thursday night in Central Florida? Why not support a sponsor that dumped a whole lot of promotion into the Clyde Hart Memorial.

Ate dinner at the Smokehouse last night... It's a really neat place... good food and a great atmosphere.

That right there is what we need more of. Supporting sponsors that support racing. Tracks, drivers, car owners and fans need to promote the sponsors more.

Tripper , if you would consider a huge drop in pay and a much longer work week , the short tracks of Florida could sure use that kind of promotional work . I met Jeremy during speedweeks , and he is the perfect template for up and coming drivers . Very fan friendly , very sponsor savvy , well spoken , and a pretty fair wheel man .

I haven't met him yet but he has been impressive behind the wheel.

I've found a better peace for myself by just volunteering my help to racecar drivers or just create my own website (in my sig) than being on the other side of the fence.

But anyway, I think I might head over to Route 46 for some lunch today since I work in the next town over. It's going to sound dumb, but I love their ham and cheese sandwich. The smoked ham is so good that you really just need bread, ham and cheese. And you must get the baked beans.

I got some more scoop during lunch.

It’s ladies night at the Garage Bar, where The Jerminator will be signing autographs and such. Happy Hour is 4-7 pm, $1 off everything, and then 2-4-1 for the ladies, 7 pm to close.

Not sure if that means Boneman gets 2-4-1 drinks all night if he's in a skirt though.

Something I tell the fans both at Ocala and at Bronson is to be sure that they patronize the businesses that make racing possible, both for the racers and for the track. And I tell them to wear their racing t-shirts and stuff when they go in, and be sure to tell the business people that they support their business because they support racing! I don't know if anyone within the sound of my voice actually does that, but I certainly hope that they do!

That's an excellent point. And if you're in Central Florida and swing by tonight just to grab a quick beer or something and said, "hey, where is the owner, I want to thank him for helping out with the Clyde Hart Memorial" that certainly goes a long way in us fans showing sponsors how much we appreciate their supporting our local short tracks.
